Approaches utilized in my practice:
In my work with children and youth, I use a combination of Expressive Therapies, Filial Therapy (FT), and Systemic Family Therapy to help them express and process their emotions in a supportive environment. Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Sand Tray allow children to communicate non-verbally, using play and creative expression to work through trauma, anxiety, or behavioral issues. Filial Therapy (FT) empowers parents to actively engage in their child’s healing process by learning to facilitate play-based sessions that strengthen the parent-child bond. Additionally, Systemic Family Therapy helps to understand and address the broader family dynamics that may impact a child’s emotional and behavioral development. Together, these approaches support children in developing emotional resilience, improving self-regulation, and fostering stronger relationships with their caregivers.
